Roberts taps local Realtor for campaign
U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., has named Lawrence Realtor John Bush as one of 13 statewide finance co-chairmen for his 2008 re-election campaign.
Bush said he has supported Roberts in several of his congressional campaigns. Roberts has served eight terms in the U.S. House and is now serving his second in the Senate.
“I think Pat Roberts is the quintessential Kansas senator. He is soft spoken but carries a big stick in Washington,” said Bush, who is president, CEO and co-owner of Lawrence Realty Associates, Baldwin Realty Associates, Eudora Realty Associates and Topeka Realty Associates.
Roberts named other co-chairmen from around the state, including Gene Bicknell, of Pittsburg, a two-time Republican Kansas gubernatorial candidate.
