Employees earn state certifications
Two Lawrence Landscape employees have attained professional certifications from state agencies.
Mike McLoud, nursery manager, passed the certification exam to become a certified pesticide applicator, covering three areas: general knowledge; ornamental maintenance and production of ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers; and turf pest maintenance and production of turf, lawns, golf courses and turf farms.
The exam was administered by the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
McLoud’s responsibilities include management of a company tree farm, nursery and greenhouses, and procurement of materials for landscaping projects.
Another company employee, Seth Outcalt, has become a certified backflow prevention device tester, having passed an exam administered by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
