Douglas County Connection, a group of area professionals dedicated to the promotion and growth of businesses owned by group members, announces the election of officers.

Officers elected by the group are Jamel Sandidge, of Brown Recluse Solutions, president; Ron King, of American Family Insurance Agency, vice president; Dan Huston, of Danielsan Electric, treasurer; Valerie Grose, of Reece & Nichols Acres Realty, membership chairman, and Becki Kersten, of Buckingham Palace Housecleaning, promotional chair.

The organization meets at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at First Southern Baptist Church, 4300 W. Sixth St.
