Lawrence City Commissioner Mike Rundle said today he will not run for re-election.

He announced his plans at a 4 p.m. press conference at City Hall.

The decision comes after two four-year terms, starting in 1999 – serving two of those years as mayor. He served an earlier term in the late 1980s.
