City Hall to convene summit on downtown future
Fire, water, library and taxes on agenda
City Hall and Downtown Lawrence Inc. will convene a summit on the future of downtown Lawrence next week, officials said today.
The summit is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Jan. 23 at the Lawrence Arts Center. Topics will include a fire sprinkler incentive program, the 2007 waterline project, the library expansion and taxes.
“My goal for the summit is to continue matching city resources with the priorities that will create a thriving and desirable downtown,” City Manager David Corliss said in a press release today.
