More candidates have filed for positions on the Eudora and Baldwin City boards of education.

Michael Kelso, a newcomer, filed Wednesday for a seat on the Eudora school board, joined by incumbent Greg Neis, who filed earlier for re-election to the school board. So far, they are the only candidates for four school board positions up for election.

In Baldwin City, Blaine Cone filed for re-election to position 3 on the education board. It is a four-year term. Cone joins other incumbents running for election to four positions on the Baldwin City board: Scott Lauridsen, position 2, and Alison Bauer, position 1. Board member Lonnie Broers, whose term will soon end, has said he is not running for re-election.

The filing deadline is Jan. 23.
