Sunflower Bank lender wins award
Dina Hinchman, a customer service representative and consumer lender at Sunflower Bank in Lawrence, recently was named one of four Sunflower Bank Volunteer Stars, awards presented to employees who devote hundreds of hours of their time and efforts within their communities.
Hinchman is a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Douglas County, and for Headquarters Counseling Center. She also serves on the Light the Night Walk’s planning committee and the St. Patrick’s Day parade committee.
Sunflower Bank’s Volunteer Star awards are given annually, and each of this year’s recipients dedicated more than 200 hours to volunteer service in 2006.
In all, Sunflower employees spent more than 23,000 hours on volunteer service.
Sunflower’s Lawrence branch, at 4831 Quail Crest Place, is one of 34 locations in Kansas and Colorado. The Salina-based bank has more than $1.3 billion in assets.
