Lawrence resident joins national board

Lawrence resident Chris DeGrassi, education market regional sales director for Topeka-based Security Benefit, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of the National Tax Sheltered Accounts Association.

DeGrassi officially starts his term at the association’s annual conference, set for Jan. 25-27 in Las Vegas.

The association is the only independent, nonprofit association in the U.S. that is dedicated to the 403(b) and 457 marketplace. It serves more than 1,000 practitioner, agency, corporate and employer members, providing education, technical support, information resources and a forum for professional networking.

“NTSAA is the only association that provides a forum for representatives and companies that serve the K-12 education market to share ideas and information,” DeGrassi said. “It’s a good opportunity to give back to the industry and to help steer the association in an environment of change.”

DeGrassi has been with Security Benefit since 2005.

Security Benefit provides retirement plans to the 3.2 million members of the National Education Association as the exclusive provider of the NEA Valuebuilder Program.
