Seeking money to pay for college or a vocational-technical school?

Lawrence high school students and their parents will be able to learn about the options available during an annual financial aid meeting Thursday.

The event, which rotates between Lawrence High and Free State High schools each year, will be at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at LHS, 19th and Louisiana streets.

Linda Allen, LHS counselor, said the meeting is open to students from any Lawrence high school and their parents.

“For a lot of people, this is going to be an opportunity for parents to ask questions about their specific circumstances,” Allen said.

Mandy Peterson, from Kansas University’s financial aid office, and Carol Wortham, from U.S. Bank, will make presentations and answer questions.
