The Douglas County Estate Planning Council recently installed new officers for 2007:

¢ Barbara Braa, trust and investment officer for CornerBank, president.

¢ Jack Schwartz, a certified financial planner and director of gift planning for the Kansas University Endowment Association, vice president.

¢ Linda Gutierrez, an attorney with Barber Emerson LC, past president.

¢ Janis Bunker, a certified trust and financial adviser and senior vice president and trust officer for TCK Trust & Financial Advisors, secretary.

¢ Jude McDaniel, a chartered life underwriter and chartered financial consultant with McDaniel and McDaniel Financial Services, continuing education.

¢ J. Michael Davies, senior vice president and trust officer for Douglas County Bank, treasurer.

The next meeting is set for noon Jan. 16 at Lawrence Country Club. Cal Karlin is the scheduled guest speaker, to discuss creditors’ rights in trust and estate planning.
