Fourth suspect in Ottawa shooting in custody

Lawrence police today found and detained the fourth and likely final suspect in the plot to kill an Ottawa man preparing to take the stand in a aggravated battery trial.

Police detained Lee Roy House Jr. on a warrant for attempted homicide before releasing him to Ottawa police detectives. He has been arrested and booked into Franklin County Jail, and his bond was set at $1 million.

Prosecutors alleged in charges filed last week that House had assisted three other Lawrence residents in attempting to kill Michael Miller outside of his home in Ottawa. Miller was scheduled to testify at trial the following morning.

Miller was found in the street outside his home. Dec. 19 with multiple gunshot wounds. He remains in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital.
