Dave Mattern, a financial consultant with the Lawrence office of A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc., has completed training for the title of Professional Money Management Consultant.

Mattern earned the designation by completing the investment planning curriculum of the Certified Financial Planner certification program.

Mattern completed about 100 hours of study covering the investment planning process; types and characteristics of securities and markets; securities laws, analysis and valuation; performance measurement; investment strategies; and client assessment.
