Salvation Army seeks help in food pantry

The Salvation Army seeks volunteers to help unload and box-up canned goods collected from local food drives. Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 31.

Immediate volunteer needs

¢ The Lawrence Waste Reduction and Recycling Center needs 20 volunteers to help with Lawrence's seventh annual Earth Day celebration. The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 21 in South Park. Volunteers will help set-up at 8:00 a.m., the Water Festival activity, other Earth Day activities or clean-up.

¢ Community Living Opportunities seeks a human resource assistant, volunteers with interest in researching grants and grant-writing experience and volunteers to help clean wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment, provide house cleaning and help with yard work.

Volunteers interested in helping with fundraising activities such as coordinating special events and activities are also needed.
