Story shares struggle of cancer patient

Beginning tonight on “River City Weekly,” Journal-World Senior Editor Bill Snead brings an intimate portrait of cancer patient and Baldwin City resident Kathy Jardon.

“My Cancer, My Story” is a series of conversations Snead had with Jardon and other participants in the ongoing writing workshop “Your Life is Your Life: Writing for Hope and Healing.” Sponsored by Lawrence Memorial Hospital and facilitated by Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg, the workshop was created to assist people being treated for cancer and those recovering from cancer.

Snead’s story about Jardon will appear in Sunday’s Journal-World.
