Police make several weekend drug arrests

Four people were arrested Sunday for suspected drug violations, including three for intent to sell or conspiracy to sell.

Police arrested two men after a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Iowa Street, where the men were driving on the eastern access road.

During the stop, police found marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms and cocaine, some in amounts and packaging enough to suspect intent to sell, said Sgt. Bill Cory, a department spokesman.

Another man was arrested when police were called to a house on the 200 block of West 10th Street after residents suspected someone was selling drugs from the home.

One man, listed as a transient on police reports, was arrested for possession of marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms.

In a separate incident, a man was arrested at Hastings Books Music and Videos, 1900 W. 23rd St., for possession with intent to sell methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property.
