Parking spots to close for construction
Dozens of parking spots near Memorial Stadium will be unavailable on the Kansas University campus in coming weeks as crews build a stormwater sewer stretching from Potter Lake to 11th Street.
About two-thirds of the 281 spots in Lot 59 – between Potter Lake and Memorial Stadium – will be closed during the construction.
The spots will be closed from Monday through mid-April. Work is expected to be finished in time for the Kansas Relays in April.
Eventually, Maine Street will be closed and a temporary road will be built to allow access to the parking lot. Students who park in Lot 59 are encouraged to park in Lot 94, which is north of the Spencer Museum of Art, on the east side of Memorial Stadium.
