A Valley Falls woman was injured this morning when her truck lost control on a slick roadway along Kansas Highway 4 and struck a tree.
Janet M. Pruett, 27, was driving her Ford truck when the accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. about 1 mile south of Meriden, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.
She was transported to St. Francis Hospital with unknown injuries. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, a report showed.
