FSHS soccer players make college choices

Three Free State senior girls have decided their soccer futures.

Bry Aiken (midfielder/goalkeeper) and Amanda Vervynck (defender) have committed to Hutchinson Community College to play for former professional player (Wichita wings) Sammy Lane.

Megan Hrenchir, who has started since her freshmen year at goalkeeper has committed to attend and play soccer at Newberry College in Newberry, SC. Newberry is an NCAA Division II school.

“As a head coach, I am excited these young women have decided to continue to play soccer after high school,” Free State coach Jason Pendleton said. “They are great people and their respective future coaches will benefit from their presence on the teams.”
