‘The Right Start’ set for KU center
The Kansas University Small Business Development Center will conduct a seminar this week to help prospective or new business owners understand some of the basics of running a business. The seminar, the latest session in the center’s “The Right Start” program, is set for 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the center, 734 Vt.
The session is scheduled to provide an overview of basic topics such as licensing, permits, registration, taxes, accounting, business plan writing and financing. Individual questions and concerns will be addressed at the end of the seminar.
While the session is free, an optional resources notebook for small businesses is available and may be purchased for $20.
Preregistration is required. For more information or to register, call 843-8844 or stop by the center.
