Douglas County sheriff’s officers are looking for a stolen race car.

The car, a 1977 Pontiac Ventura, was taken between Jan. 30 and Feb. 2, according to a sheriff’s report. The owner was identified as Donald Higgins.

The car, valued at $10,000, was last seen on property at 2100 E. 500 Road.

Painted blue, the car had been converted into a racer and has several high-performance parts, according to the sheriff’s office.
