Special Olympics team plans ‘Bingo Night’

The Douglas County Gators Special Olympics team will have a "Bingo Night" fundraiser this weekend with the goal of raising $1,000 to send its athletes to a statewide basketball tournament next month in Hays.
The fundraiser will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at building 21 of the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St. Bingo cards are $10 each. Prizes include gift certificates and items donated by a variety of downtown merchants, plus sports items including Kansas City Royals tickets.
