Free State High’s Chase Torgerson, Julian Spanger and Cameron Case advanced to the finals of their individual events Friday at the Sunflower League boys swimming and diving championships in the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center.

Lawrence High’s Jeff Standing qualified for state in the 500 freestyle in Friday’s preliminaries, as did the Lions’ 400 freestyle relay team.

The diving preliminaries will begin at 9 a.m. today. The swimming championships will start at 1 p.m.
