Old Home Town – 40 years ago
Rick Trapp, Lawrence ambulance attendant, was credited with saving the life of a 19-year-old Olathan with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. The youth was considered dead when Trapp, a former Lawrence High football star, arrived and aided him following an auto accident. Trapp, an attorney, later was an agent with the FBI and was elected Douglas County sheriff.
