The Free State High girls basketball program will play for fifth place in the Bonner Springs Metro Prep Classic basketball tournament Jan. 30.

The make-up date was announced Thursday after Wednesday’s originally scheduled contest against Savannah, Mo., was postponed because of Savannah’s inability to make the trip to Bonner Springs.

As a result, the Firebirds will play host to the contest. A junior varsity game has been added to the slate, as well.

After three straight trips to the tournament’s title game, FSHS (2-1) lost in the opening round of the tourney to eventual runner-up Shawnee Heights.
