To the editor:

The United States recently had two mall shootings followed by two shootings in Christian offices, and I’m sure it is just the beginning. I usually vote Republican because of their stand against abortion. But they are a big part of this problem. They pound the desk for the macho “right to bear arms'” and sign bills making that easier. We don’t live in the Old West. Why does anyone need guns?

Kansas passed a law allowing concealed weapons. You are supposed to post a notice if you don’t want guns in your buildings. Like that will stop someone who wants to become “famous'” like one of the mall shooters. They plan to be dead at the end of it – no jail time for them.

I don’t know for whom to vote. Do I vote for the party that kills thousands of babies each year through “pro-choice” bills? Or do I vote for the party who puts the lives of everyone in danger each year by handing out guns through the bills they sponsor?
