Jan Kuyper Erland, executive director of Innovative Learning Systems Inc., a nonprofit, Lawrence-based national literacy organization, announces a partnership with Lawrence public schools through the Lawrence Education Achievement Partners program.

Kuyper Erland, who also serves as literacy chairperson for The Daughters of the American Revolution, has been recruiting retired teachers as volunteers to assist in classrooms at Prairie Park School.
