Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A Lawrence man on Monday reported the theft of a parking meter and the coins inside from the 900 block of Vermont Street. The incident occurred between 5 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Monday. The meter was valued at $1,000.

¢ A 50-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of about $1,200 in currency through the criminal use of a financial card in the city of Lawrence. The incident occurred at noon Nov. 28.

¢ Two vehicles were sprayed with orange spray paint in the 300 block of West 14th Street last week. The incident, reported by a 23-year-old Lawrence man, caused about $2,000 in damage to a 2007 Nissan Sentra and a Jeep Cherokee. The incident occurred between midnight Dec. 4 and 7 a.m. Dec. 5.
