Welcome help
To the editor:
On Sunday, Dec. 2, I was involved in a hit-and-run accident on West Sixth Street. Unknown to me, a man saw the accident and followed the car that caused the accident and fled the scene. His good deed helped the police find the car.
My family was with me and one member had to be taken to the hospital. Also, two young women stopped to help and stayed with us until the police arrived to give them their statement. I grew up in Lawrence but now live in San Antonio. I am so glad to know Lawrence still has residents who care about their fellow man. I want to thank each of the three who were willing to help us.
