Chancellor named to executive committee

Kansas University Chancellor Robert Hemenway was named to the executive committee of the Association of American Universities.

The association is made up of 60 of the major public and private research universities across the country. The committee is made up of 11 members who are appointed to either two- or three-year terms.

Hemenway’s term is for three years.

The association assists members in developing national policy positions on issues that relate to academic research, and graduate and professional education. It also provides them with a forum for discussing a broad range of other institutional issues, such as undergraduate education.
