Manhattan ? Free State took second and Lawrence High fourth in a high school boys swim meet Wednesday.

Free State’s 200 medley relay team of Nolan Frank, Tony Libeer, Mitch Moore and Kendall Harris took first place and qualified for state. The foursome won in 1:49.12.

Moore also won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly, and Frank won the 100 backstroke.

Frank and Julian McCafferty went 1-2 in the 100 backstroke for the Firebirds.

Dan Simons, Jeff Carmody and Kendall Goodden went 5-6-9 in diving for Free State.

Firebirds Eric Gruber and Libeer went 2-3 in the 100 breaststroke.

Lawrence High divers T.K. Pracht, Matthias Reiber and Charlie Theil went 2-3-4.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Will Pendleton, Skylar Koerner, Andy Kriegh and Walter Summers finished fourth for the Lions, and Dylan Hedges was fourth in the 500.

Shawnee Mission Northwest won with 413 points, followed by Free State with 358, Manhattan with 2751â2 and Lawrence High with 2401â2.
