Nurse to be trainer for chemotherapy

Julie Tuley, an oncology nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and clinical coordinator for the LMH Oncology Center, has been appointed as an official trainer for the Oncology Nursing Society Cancer Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course, a comprehensive review for nurses who administer chemotherapy.

The course is an in-depth program that provides registered nurses with information needed to safely administer chemotherapy and is taught throughout the United States and Canada by about 900 trainers.

Tuley, who has been with the hospital for 11 years, is one of six trainers in Kansas.
