The Toy Store donating new children’s books
The Toy Store, 936 Mass. in downtown Lawrence, is participating in the Angel Tree Book Project, an effort to provide books to children being helped through The Shelter and Woman’s Transitional Care Services.
The Angel Tree Book Project allows people to buy books – usually customers have their children make the selections – to be donated to other children who are being assisted by the agencies. Each donation is matched, book for book, by The Toy Store, which has been participating in the program for 20 years at its Topeka location.
The Toy Store in Lawrence opened its children’s books area this summer.
