The city’s Web site has a new look.

City Hall leaders launched a new design for their Web site Thursday that aims to make it easier for users to find out about city services.

Lisa Patterson, communications coordinator for the city, said the new site has created new categories designed to appeal to residents, businesses or visitors. The old site primarily was structured based on various city departments.

“We know that most people aren’t interested in the department; they’re interested in the service,” Patterson said. “We think this will make it easier.”

The Web site address for the city remains unchanged. It is www.lawrenceks.org.

Patterson said all the work for the redesign was done by city staff members.
