Soccer player hurt in game at Eudora

A Gardner-Edgerton High School student was transported by helicopter to Kansas University Hospital on Tuesday after being injured in a soccer game at Eudora High School.

About 6 p.m., the student was injured while playing on the field, according to emergency personnel.

The student sustained a head injury, which warranted the use of air transport, Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical Division Chief Rob Kort said.

The student’s name was not available Tuesday night.
