Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will cut back its hours at the Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Ky., beginning Monday.

The hours for Aug. 20-Sept. 3 will be: closed Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Fridays; 1 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Morning lap swimming will be available from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The center will close Sept. 3. The Pooch Plunge, an event for dogs, will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 4. Pre-registration is required to attend the event.

The Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive, will reopen Monday.
