Peoples Bank forwards donations for victims
Peoples Bank announced results of a donations drive to benefit victims of recent flooding in Kansas.
With a $1,000 lead gift from the Lawrence-based bank, donations during the monthlong campaign in July amounted to $2,169. Bankers, customers and others made donations, to be forwarded to the American Red Cross.
Peoples Bank also assisted with physical cleanup in Oswatamie County, and bank President and CEO Wint Winter Jr. traveled to Miami County to help with cleanup efforts there.
Peoples Bank has offices in Lawrence at 4831 W. Sixth St. and 2220 Harper St. The bank’s other locations in northeast Kansas are in Johnson, Franklin and Miami counties.
