Roberts announces housing grants to Lawrence
U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts today announced that the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development is giving more than $1 million in housing grants to Lawrence.
There are two main grants in the package:
¢ $828,822 in Community Development Block Grants, to be distributed by City Hall for neighborhood and housing projects.
¢ $643,923 for the HOME program that helps to expand the
supply of affordable housing.
