Evan Robinson was one of more than 30 jailbirds in a March of Dimes fundraiser. Lawrence residents helped raise more than 0,000 for the March of Dimes during the Lawrence Jail & Bail on Thursday at Montana Mike's Steakhouse, 1015 Iowa. They were sentenced to serve one hour in jail or until they were able to call friends to raise 00. The funds will help research the causes of premature births.

Our local Meals on Wheels serves more than one hundred Lawrence residents daily, but says now they’re hungry for more volunteers and financial help. The organization now has a waiting list for services as demand grows but their needs don’t.
