Whose bias?

To the editor:

John Edwards, Democratic presidential hopeful, earlier this year pushed for a boycott of a Fox News Channel debate. Now Edwards is leading the charge to attempt to shut down Fox News entirely. According to Edwards, the Fox News channel “has a clear and long history of bias against Democrats.” In addition, Edwards said, “It’s time to put a stop to this.” Really? What do we do about the other three or four media giants and numerous metropolitan newspapers that are biased against Republicans?

Is this not contradictory to the very idea of absolute freedom of speech that liberals claim to so vigorously protect? Edwards wants to “put a stop to” the Fox News Channel?

Oddly, Edwards is one of several Democratic presidential candidates attending a Daily Kos-sponsored debate. Daily Kos is one of the most vile and hate-filled Web sites in existence today. And bias? They have redefined the word.

I suppose when George Soros tells you to jump, you ask, “How high?”
