Target will host National Night Out on Tuesday.

Lawrence’s Super Target, 3201 Iowa, will partner with the National Association of Town Watch to raise awareness about safety and crime prevention in the community. The association is a nonprofit, crime-prevention group that cooperates with thousands of crime watch groups and law enforcement agencies across the nation.

The Lawrence Police Department, Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical and the Kansas Highway Patrol will take part. Several activities, games and giveaways are planned during the event, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
