Boy injured by TV home from hospital

? A 3-year-old Baldwin City boy who was injured Friday when a television fell on him has been released from Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

According to Baldwin City Police Chief Mike McKenna, the boy, Belon Muse Jr., was injured Friday afternoon when children were playing.

“It was a home accident,” said McKenna. “The boy suffered head and chest injuries when a 32-inch television set was pushed off onto the boy by another boy who is under 10 years old. There were several kids playing in the room when it happened.”

McKenna said the boy’s mother, Christina Garcia, 29, responded immediately. The boy, who was flown by air ambulance to Children’s Mercy for treatment, was released Monday.
