4 alumni to enter Hall of Honor
Four Lawrence High School graduates will be inducted into the Lawrence Lions Alumni Association Hall of Honor.
This year’s class is:
- Jane Bodle, a 1977 LHS graduate, who has appeared in Broadway productions since 1982.
- David G. Booth, a 1964 LHS graduate, who is chairman, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Dimensional Fund Advisors, which he founded in 1981. The company has offices across the world.
- Brian McClendon, a 1982 LHS graduate, who is vice president of Google Inc. and director of engineering for Google Earth.
- Chris Piper, a 1983 LHS graduate, who started on Kansas University’s 1988 NCAA championship men’s basketball team. He is KU’s radio play-by-play man and owns Grandstand Sportswear and Glassware in Lawrence.
The induction ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 30 at LHS.
