The Kansas University Small Business Development Center will present “Making Cent$ of Your Financial Statements,” a financing seminar for small businesses, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, 734 Vt.

The seminar is designed to teach owners, or potential owners, of small businesses how to use periodic financial statements – such as cash flow, balance sheets and income statements – to uncover hidden profit potential.

Organizers say participants will learn the “true meaning” behind business accounting figures and their implications.

Cost is $40, and take-away materials will be provided.
