Douglas County Bank and Jayhawk File Express will conduct their third-annual Shred Day, set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the bank's main location, Ninth and Kentucky streets.
Area residents and businesses are invited to gather old documents - up to 200 pounds, or about five normal-sized file boxes' worth - and bring them to the parking lot for free shredding and recycling.
Topeka-based Jayhawk File Express provides confidential and secure document destruction services.
