Theater treasure
To the editor:
This is a fan letter to the fine community members who make up the cast of “On Golden Pond,” currently at Lawrence Community Theatre, 15th and New Hampshire streets. Dean Bevan, Betty Laird, Peggy Sampson, Scott Richardson, Chris Price and Jeff Blair all gave strong, touching performances under the able direction of Jack Wright. I am always amazed to meet people who live in Lawrence who have not experienced the magic that our community theater, under the management of Mary Doveton, has given us for 30 years.
We have so many enhancements in this community, but the Lawrence Community Theatre is a treasure for us all. Don’t miss this show.
