Overland Park ? Free State High won 11 of 12 events Thursday in Blue Valley West’s Falcon Invitational swimming a diving meet.

Winning for the Firebirds were Morgan Flanningan in the 200 freestyle, Heather Clark in the 200 I.M. and 100 backstroke, Katie Swank in the 50 freestyle and 500 freestyle, Carol Fittell in one-meter diving, Katie Sloan in the 100 butterfly, and Sarah Clark in the 100 freestyle.

Free State also won three relays: Heather Clark, Adrane Black, Sloan and Swank in the 200 medley relay, Flannigan, Sarah Clark, Black and Sloan in the 200 freestyle relay, and Heather Clark, Sarah Clark, Swank and Flannigan in the 400 freestyle relay.

Free State won the five-team meet with 471 points, followed by Blue Valley West with 378, Topeka Hayden with 227, Bonner Springs with 183, and St. James Academy with 84.
