Stacy Walters, business consultant for Heartland Works Inc., is scheduled to discuss available training grants and other programs during the April luncheon meeting of the Lawrence Technology Association, set for 11:45 a.m. Thursday at Scarlet Orchid, 2223 La.

Heartland Works is a private, nonprofit company that promotes economic growth in northeast Kansas through its work-force services and programs.

Heartland Works, using money from the federal Workforce Investment Act, operates five work-force centers that allow employers and job seekers alike to meet their employment and training needs.

Cost is $10 for association members at $12 for guests.
