A Lawrence woman who was injured in a two-car accident a week ago in Lawrence remained hospitalized Friday in Kansas City, Kan.

Wilma Ridgway, 72, was listed in fair condition at the Kansas University Hospital, according to a hospital spokesman.

Willard Ridgway, 75, a passenger in the car driven by his wife, also was injured and was released Thursday, the hospital spokesman said.

The Ridgways were traveling north on Haskell Avenue at 11 a.m. April 7 when their vehicle was struck head-on by a car driven by Cole Kilburn, 19, Lawrence. Police are investigating alcohol as a cause of the accident.
