Marie Claire magazine is bringing its Beauty Road Show to Lawrence today, setting up space for free facials, massages, manicures and other services in South Park.

Visitors even may appear in an upcoming issue of the fashion magazine.

The event – offering a range of beauty services, tips and ideas ranging from makeovers to smoking-cessation discussions – runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the west side of the park, at the corner of Massachusetts and North Park streets, just south of 11th Street.

Attendees will have an opportunity to have their photograph taken and tell magazine personnel about themselves. The responses are being collected for possible inclusion in a future “What I Love About Me” page in the magazine.
