Jason Edmonds, a vice president and financial adviser for Morgan Stanley in Lawrence, said Thursday that members of the Lawrence-Douglas County Economic Development Board were eager to schedule a group meeting in the coming weeks.

Edmonds, who took over for Mike Maddox as the board’s chairman earlier this year, said that board members were reviewing schedules before settling on a meeting date. The board has been idle for several months, but looks to become active again now that the Lawrence City Commission election has passed.

The 10-member board advocates for business expansion and attraction and advises city and county governments on such issues.
